The South Dade Chamber of Commerce proudly partnered with the Economic Development Council (EDC), to have community leaders, businesses, and workforce organizations for the recent Empower South Dade: Business & Career Opportunities Expo at Miami Dade College Homestead Campus — a powerful event centered on opportunity, connection, and community growth.
With over 200 registered attendees and more than 30 business and resource vendors, the expo brought together job seekers, entrepreneurs, students, and professionals from across South Dade for an afternoon filled with networking, career exploration, and business development.
The event created meaningful connections between residents and local organizations while highlighting the growing need for accessible workforce resources and economic opportunities within our region. Vendor tables represented a wide range of industries and services, offering attendees direct access to employment opportunities, educational pathways, business resources, and community support programs.
More importantly, the expo reflected the momentum and optimism continuing to build throughout South Dade. Conversations throughout the room showcased the power of collaboration and the importance of investing in both people and businesses to strengthen our local economy.
The Chamber extends sincere appreciation to every vendor, sponsor, volunteer, and attendee who helped make the event such a tremendous success as we continue working together to build a stronger and more connected South Dade community.
