SETTING THE FOUNDATION FOR THE YEAR AHEAD
Before a board can lead together, its members have to understand one another.
That was the focus of the South Dade Chamber’s 2026–2027 Board Retreat at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary.
Surrounded by a setting that encouraged conversation away from the usual meeting table, our directors spent the day reflecting, breathing and getting to know each other. The retreat was intentionally less about presentations and more about being present.
Our theme for the year says it simply:
ONE BOARD. ONE VOICE. ONE SOUTH DADE.
Not because we will always agree, but because once the conversation is complete, we move forward together in service to our members and South Dade.
We left Patch of Heaven with a clearer understanding of the work ahead and an even stronger appreciation for the leaders who have committed their time and talent to help guide this Chamber to the next chapter.
