Standing Room Only: Sushi Sake Homestead Celebrates Grand Opening

  • June 2026

South Dade showed up in a big way for the grand opening and Ribbon Cutting of Sushi Sake Homestead, located at 5 S. Flagler Avenue in Homestead. The celebration delivered an unforgettable evening filled with energy, excitement, and unmistakable community pride.

Business leaders, elected officials, residents, Chamber members, and community supporters gathered to officially welcome Sushi Sake to the South Dade business community. Managing Partner Karin Mas thanked the community for its support and shared appreciation for the opportunity to celebrate this milestone. The occasion was further marked by proclamations from the City of Homestead and Miami-Dade County, along with letters of recognition from Alina Garcia, Supervisor of Elections and the South Dade Chamber.

Ribbon cuttings are among SDCC’s most visible ways of supporting local businesses, but their meaning truly goes far beyond the celebration. They represent investment, opportunity, job creation, and confidence in the future of South Dade.

South Dade continues to grow across dining, entertainment, retail, and hospitality, creating new opportunities for residents and visitors alike. The South Dade Chamber of Commerce was honored to celebrate this milestone and officially welcome Sushi Sake Homestead to the Chamber family. Moments like this underscore the importance of supporting local businesses and strengthening the relationships that keep the community thriving.

South Dade Chamber remains committed to spotlighting and supporting the businesses that add to the vibrancy and success of the region. If the Sushi Sake Grand Opening was any indication, the future of South Dade is bright.
