
Community Leader, Educator, and Connector Appointed Executive Director
The South Dade Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the appointment of Lisa Albizu-Vazquez as its new Executive Director, effective June 1, 2026.
A respected community leader, educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for civic engagement, Albizu-Vazquez brings more than two decades of experience building partnerships, creating opportunities, and connecting people throughout South Florida. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Chamber as it continues its mission of strengthening businesses, advancing economic development, and fostering a thriving South Dade community.
Albizu-Vazquez is no stranger to the South Dade Chamber of Commerce. Having previously served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and worked alongside business leaders, elected officials, educators, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders throughout the region, she has dedicated much of her career to serving the communities of South Florida through education, civic leadership, youth development, workforce initiatives, and community engagement. Her deep understanding of the region’s opportunities and challenges uniquely positions her to lead the Chamber into its next chapter.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Albizu-Vazquez has served in numerous leadership roles throughout the community, including President of the Junior Orange Bowl during its historic 75th Anniversary year. She has also served on the boards and committees of several influential community and business organizations, earning recognition for her ability to unite diverse constituents around a common vision for progress and impact.
