Pinecrest Gardens has put its fall and holiday calendar on the board, and the dates run from mid October straight through Dec. 23. Here is what is set so far.

Fall Garden Day, Saturday, Oct. 17. This one is for families. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the garden fills with drop in activities: scavenger hunts, animal encounters, free book giveaways, art making and hands on time in the Learning Garden. This year’s theme is Arts for Wellness, in partnership with All Kids Included. Tickets are sold at the door. The garden suggests packing bathing suits so kids can hit the playground and Splash ‘N Play after.

Pinecrest Uncorked, Saturday, Oct. 24. This one is for grownups only, 21 and up. The wine tasting starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs two hours, with 12 California wines picked by Marchelle Wines, small bites with each pour and a keepsake glass. Tasting tickets are $65 to $75. At 8:15 p.m. the New York band Hazmat Modine plays a Sound Session in the covered Banyan Bowl. Concert only tickets run $55 to $65. A VIP ticket at $100 to $120 gets you into the tasting at 6 p.m. plus the concert.

Nights of Lights, Dec. 4 through Dec. 23. The holiday light festival returns on 13 select nights, 6:30 to 10 p.m. The dates are Dec. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 17 through 23. Expect light displays through the garden, Santa and the Grinch on some nights, story time, holiday vendors and live music, plus the playground open after dark. The Jolly Craft Corner needs a separate add on ticket. Parking is free. Tickets are not on sale yet, so watch the garden’s website. It runs rain or shine.

Looking ahead. On Oct. 6 the garden opened applications for artists who want a booth at the 2027 Art & Design Fair, set for Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24. Orchestra Miami’s Family Fun Series also continues at the Banyan Bowl with a 20th anniversary concert on Nov. 8 and more one hour shows in January, February and April.

Pinecrest Gardens is at 11000 Red Road. Regular admission is $8 for ages 2 to 64 and $5 for seniors, but festival and concert tickets are sold separately. Details are at pinecrestgardens.org.
