Palmetto Bay Collects Supplies for Venezuela Earthquake Victims

The Village of Palmetto Bay is stepping up to help families far from home. Village Hall is now a drop-off point for supplies headed to victims of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

Residents can bring donations to Village Hall, where Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies pick them up and take them to the Sheriff’s headquarters for distribution. From there, the supplies make their way to families in need.

The effort hits close to home for many neighbors across South Miami-Dade, which is home to a large and proud Venezuelan-American community. Local drives like this one give residents a simple, direct way to help.

If you would like to donate, check the Village of Palmetto Bay website for the current list of needed items and the drop-off hours before you go. Even a small contribution can make a real difference for a family rebuilding after disaster.
